	Janine Oswalt Hopkins, MD - Mary Kate Monsour, PA-C Our Facilities - The Staff Dr. Janine Hopkins is a board-certified dermatologist, who has practiced adult and pediatric Dermatology in Monroe for 7 years. Along with general dermatology, Dr. Hopkins specializes in laser procedures and dermatologic surgery. She pioneered cosmetic dermatology in Northeast Louisiana introducing the V-Star Laser, skin rejuvenation, Tumescent Liposuction, laser hair removal, Microdermabrasion, Botox, Restylane and now Juvederm. Dr. Hopkins frequently attends continuing medical education seminars to keep abreast of the newest developments in her specialty. She has presented information at the 2001 Cynosure Laser Company meeting. Dr. Hopkins is a native of Rayville, LA and is a 1984 graduate of Riverfield Academy. She received her Bachelor of Science Degree with honors from Northeast Louisiana University in 1987. After completing four years of Medical School at LSU School of Medicine in Shreveport, she secured an internship at Ochsner Medical Center in New Orleans followed by a residency in the Department of Dermatology at LSU Medical Center also in New Orleans. She is Board Certified by the American Academy of Dermatology and a member of multiple dermatologic medical societies, such as the American Academy of Dermatology, American Society of Dermatologic Surgery, and Louisiana Dermatologic Society. Dr. Hopkins first opened her practice on August 1, 1996 in the Physician and Surgeons Complex. Her solo practice initially included three employees. To accommodate the growth of her practice, Hopkins Medical Complex has come to fruition!! This beautiful 8,000 sq. foot building is home to Hopkins Dermatology.
