Meet Physician Assistant, Jeanette Maldonado

Jeanette Maldonado is a board-certified Physician Assistant who specializes in dermatology with an emphasis in pediatrics under the supervision of Dr. Janine Hopkins. Jeanette began her education at St. Mary’s University in San Antonio, Texas, where she received her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology in 2013. After her time at St. Mary’s, she worked as a medical assistant at a dermatology clinic in San Antonio before deciding she wanted to become a Physician Assistant. Jeanette graduated with a Master of Physician Assistant Studies degree from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas in 2018. She began her career in pediatric emergency medicine. 

Jeanette specializes in treating various skin conditions such as acne, atopic dermatitis, contact dermatitis, warts, psoriasis, vitiligo, rosacea, skin infections, and skin cancer detection. Jeanette is an active provider with Skin Cure Oncology while assisting in overseeing IG-SRT treatments within Hopkins Dermatology. She is passionate about dermatological care, patient education, and serving patients of all ages with their skin care needs. Jeanette is an active member of the Texas Academy of Physician Assistants, American Academy of Physician Assistants, and Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants. 

Jeanette is originally from Laredo, Texas. In her free time, she enjoys cooking, traveling, staying active, and spending time with her family. She has a chihuahua named Chloe that she loves dearly. Jeanette is very excited to be in Southlake and looks forward to caring for patients.
