Rachel Head, AGACNP-BC, is a Nurse Practitioner with a specialty in Dermatology under the supervision of Dr. Janine Hopkins, serving patients ages 13 and older. Rachel Head received her undergraduate degree from Louisiana State University in 2011 with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology, followed by graduating with her Master of Science in Biological Sciences from Mississippi College. In 2021, Rachel completed her degree as a Master of Science in Nursing with the concentration of Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner from Vanderbilt University. Originally from Rayville, LA, Rachel moved back to Northeast Louisiana over 2 years ago and joined the Hopkins Dermatology Team.
Rachel Head is proficient in treating a multitude of dermatologic conditions. Her practice includes performing total body skin exams, locating and treating skin cancers and pre-cancerous lesions, diagnosing and treating acne, rashes, rosacea, melasma, psoriasis, eczema, skin infections, hair loss and nail issues. Rachel also remains as an active provider with GentleCure, overseeing the IG-SRT treatments at Hopkins Dermatology.
